Prof. Ji Ho Jeon Appointed to IJPEM-GT Editorial Board and K-TAG for International Collaboration

Prof. Ji Ho Jeon has been selected as a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing-Green Technology (IJPEM-GT) and as a member of the K-TAG (Korea Technology Advisory Group) to plan innovative international collaborative projects.
Dr. Hyunsu Lee, Cheonghwa Lee, and Kisu Ok Join Jeon Group for Fall 2024

Dr. Hyunsu Lee, Cheonghwa Lee, and Kisu Ok will be joining the Jeon Group as visiting scholars this fall 2024. Dr. Hyunsu Lee specializes in computer vision, deep learning, IoT, and robot control, while Cheonghwa Lee's expertise lies in robotics, composite materials, and generative AI. Cheonghwa will be joining us as a visiting PhD student and is expected to defend his PhD at the end of the year, after which he will transition to postdoctoral work starting next year. Kisu Ok, who specializes in robotics, generative AI, IoT, and large language models, is expected to defend his PhD in May 2025 and will similarly transition to postdoctoral work following his defense.

Dr. Ji Ho Jeon will be joining the University of Connecticut as an assistant professor in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Manufacturing Engineering in the fall of 2024. His extensive expertise in manufacturing and composite materials will introduce exciting new directions for the School. In addition to establishing collaborations with industrial partners, he will continue his academic partnerships with renowned institutions such as Seoul National University (SNU), RWTH Aachen University, Georgia Tech, and many others.

Dr. Ji Ho Jeon presented three papers at NAMRC 52 / MSEC 2024 held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Out of over 200 accepted papers, only 19 were selected for fast-track publication. Dr. Jeon's paper, 'Effect of Electropolishing on Ultrasonic Cavitation in Hybrid Post-Processing of Additively Manufactured Metal Surfaces,' was among those selected and published in the Journal of Manufacturing Processes.
Selected to receive the NSF Early Career Researcher Travel Award for the 2024 International Advanced Manufacturing Conference (NAMRC 52/MSEC 2024)

Dr. Ji Ho Jeon will be presenting three first-authored papers at the upcoming NAMRC 52/MSEC 2024, held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Out of approximately 300 applicants, only 58 awardees have been selected, and he has been honored with the NSF Early Career Researcher Travel Award.
